Czech Republic is more the land of numerous grindcore or goregrind acts with unreadable logos, and death metal is something rare out there so let's welcome this demo gladly especially if it contains many qualities. HEAVING EARTH is a cunning student of the US death metal scene, not modern death metal but not old school death metal either. Homing ex-members of INTERVALLE BIZARRE, you can expect good musicianship, and that's the case here with 3 tracks of dark brutal death metal, with many twisted and complex riffs reminding IMMOLATION (the last records) or even some GORGUTS (the two last records but not as crazy and technical). The band is also quite brutal and fast and seems influenced by a band like HATE ETERNAL. The speed isn't seeked for fastness sake or to impress like the actual contest it seems to be in the US (probably to get signed by Unique Leader) no, HEAVING EARTH is looking for good compositions and if this demo only owns 3 tracks, they all have indeniable qualities (killer fucking guitar solos!). They should take their distance with the HATE ETERNAL influence to avoid being considered as a clone or a follower, but that's a satisfying debut and a promising one.
