As I have never enough zines to review, here are the two first issues of Vaginalluftwaffe Zine, a small zine covering extreme metal from black metal up to the most brutal death grind. This rag is headed by two editors Marek and my buddy Pawel (who also rapes corpses in the now defunct SPLATORGY).
The first issue comes in traditional cut & paste with hand-drawn borders, and I just regret the bad xeroxed quality, it is still readable (at least for Polish people!) but pictures suffer from this and as I can't read polish it's a bit frustrating. By the way, the freaks featured are: DISDAINED, PERSECUTOR, FUNERAL RAPE, PULMONARY FIBROSIS, NECROCANNIBALISTIC VOMITORIUM, CENTURION, BUCKSHOT FACELIFT and JAN CHRZCICIEL. The questions asked are between 10 to a bit more, it seems to go to the essential but it's hard to say.
There are many reviews of a wide range of material (demo, CD, EP, zines, live reports), I think Pawel is an intensive trader so that may explain this diversity. There are also band-names that I never saw before, I guess Pawel & Marek enjoy exhuming the most obscure and unknown acts!
The second issue is in the same rotted vein but this time the printing is far better (always in cut & paste of course!) and the fonts have been reduced to put even more stuff. You can read conversations with FEROSITY, EXHALATION, VACANT COFFIN, MALIGNANT TUMOUR, DEAD INFECTION, THE LIGHT OF DARK, WITCHMASTER, GROTESK, NECROVOMIT, SQUASH BOWELS, EXCIDIUM and KINGDOM. The inties seemed to get some steroids as questions are more numerous (but still I can't read them, fuck it!). There is still a shitload of reviews about demos, albums, zines and live reports. An impressive job, really! Marek explains me that his english wasn't very good and that there were enough Polish zines written in English, so Vaginalluftwaffe would remain this way. There is an obvious progression between both issues so I just wish the editors best continuation with the zine, and I advise bands/zines to get in touch with them for any sort of trades or cooperation.
