INVERACITY Extermination of millions Review

INVERACITY (Gre) – Extermination of millions
CD 2007 – Unique Leader Records
11 tracks – 31’28
Rated: 8/10

Bloody shit!!! After 4 years of wait here is the second album of INVERACITY. If you own their first album “Circle of perversion” released in 2003 by Unmatched Brutality Records, you remember INVERACITY and their unmerciful sharp brutal death metal in the US vein, whose particularity was to make your cabinets’ player saturated when the band played on low frequencies. This small default disappeared now, and the band strikes back with a new opus of brutal death with a massive sound. Everything is tight as fuck, no place for approximation here, the songs are quite technical but INVERACITY focuses more on brutality and goes right to the point with short but efficient tracks. The shadow of many American bands is prominent but certainly the most evident is the influence of mighty SUFFOCATION.
The new singer has a guttural but almost understandable way of grunting on the contrary of “Circle…” which was a gory voice. I mean the new singer makes some variations of pronunciation.
If “Extermination…” offers almost blasting attack during this half-an-hour execution, INVERACITY provides some more “melodic” stuff (if I can say so!), close to latest MONSTROSITY “Vision of coming apocalypse” or even slow-down track with insistent rhythm “Before the uncreation”.
The only bad point for me is the total miss of guitar solos, but INVERACITY owns only a guitar player and doesn’t seem to include some lead, but that’s a detail.
A good brutal death release with the effect of a bullet in the head. Simple but lethal!
