Back after 14 years of inactivity, Mark K. the editor decided to revive the beast to keep the filth spreading. I didn't know this rag before, and for a first contact with this thin zine I must say it's quite an unusual kind of zine as it's focused on death metal, death/grind, grindcore and other goregrind molesters. Almost no black or black/death pollution except a handful of reviews so that's a good point for me.
Interviewed acts are: GRUESOME STUFF RELISH, ABÖRTED HITLER CÖCK, ENGORGED, CARDIAC ARREST, MENTAL KILLING SPREE and … that's all!
Well even if the inties have a cool state of mind, it lacks a bit of sensational talks. Mark K doesn't ask outstanding questions, and most of the time the guy answering isn't really talkative so you feel like learning nothing about the band. Except the intie with MENTAL KILLING SPREE, the other chats are just conventional. Another reproach would be about the interview set-up, there are no fonts' difference so questions and answers are mixed together and it's a bit uncomfortable to read, a detail though.
You can dissect a bunch of reviews of EP, tapes and CD evaluated on three criterion (music, production and originality) and rated out of ten. The stuff reviewed is gathering many unknown acts and are described with an honest point of view.
The whole lay-out is rather simple but clear with many great drawings done by the editor. An average zine due to its minimalistic content, it was probably good ten years ago but today regarding the people's interests towards printed zines, more elaborated intents are needed. I guess Mark K release several issues a year so it may compensate.
