PULMONARY FIBROSIS Organ maggots Review

PULMONARY FIBROSIS (Fr) – Organ maggots
CD 2007 – Last House on the Right Records
21 tracks – 32’16
Rated: 7/10

First album and unfortunately the last release with my old pal Pascal Berthon (RIP), here is finally a release that transcribes enough the fury and sickness of PULMONARY FIBROSIS after a ton of split tapes and split CD with dozens bands like AGATHOCLES, MALIGNANT TUMOUR, CAKEWET, CARNAL DIAFRAGMA and many more, with a more or less good sound quality (often less).
This time this recording pays tribute to their nasal nauseous goregrind and proves that only one guitar (downtuned to hell), a vomiting drummer (triggered to death and with an unbearable snaredrum) and just a charismatic vocalist (for those lucky enough having seen the band on stage, the others won’t understand) you can release a good goregrind album. So surely you won’t listen to the album of the year done by ultimate musicians (except Joaness who is the best guitarist on earth!) but you will enjoy a storm of necrotic vomits coupled with rusted chainsaws for a snowfall of gory pathological tunes. You want hits, so hits you will have: Turn water to pus, Hacked the human flesh, Organ maggots, Span gurgling in excrements and some cover of MORTICIAN, PIGSTY, JUNGLE ROT & MALIGNANT TUMOUR, not the most technical bands but who cares.
PULMONARY FIBROSIS shares the same lowness as MORTICIAN, the messy side of early CARCASS and the taste for progressive metal of LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY.
