Hey, this is Erik’s (Shrunken & Mummified Zine) band where he plays drums. I didn’t know that before and was curious to hear about DAILY LIFE SUCKS. Well, DLS delivers some old school grindcore, rather minimalist (one guitar, one drummer and one singer) and raw to the bone. Very short song in the vein of early NAPALM DEATH and some AGATHOCLES and maybe some early CARCASS demos for the sometimes strange vocals ranging from low guttural ones to some retarded-like screams.
That could sounds promising if only the guitar sound wasn’t so “muddy”, I mean it sometimes sound like a distorted bass-guitar but it definitively lacks of punch for this kind of style. Maybe a more razorsharp and heavy sound would fit better, that’s my opinion.
Only for underground old school grind freaks.
