Ploppy Pants Zine #7 review

PLOPPY PANTS Zine #7 (Scotland)
Winter 2008
40 pages A5 – English written

Rather nice Zine coming from Scotland, DIY to the bones and oriented punk/grind/crust scenes. I can’t say I am a huge fan of the styles mentioned but I definitively enjoy Roddy’s state of mind. Music, fun and sometimes political point of views (which are of lesser interests to me). Roddy features freaky bands from the deepest underground (toilets?) cause except AGATHOCLES I have never heard of AVSKUM, THE WANKYS, UNHOLY GRAVE, AGITATE Zine, TRIOXIN 245, FUCT OFF, etc… But anyway the chats are quite good and sometimes surprising and with the unavoidable question asked to each guy about when they had shit in their pants one day is proving suffer from an old event about that….except the constipated ones!!!
Dozens of reviews about gigs, zines (a shitload!!!), demos and EP, a column about the punk movement in the UK about the fact this is not supposed to be about laziness and parasitism, Sergeant Nick Fury solving some readers’ trouble, pant shitting stories and a picnic (drink or die!) board game. As you can see Ploppy Pants Zine is an unconventional fanzine with its own identity and that’s the particularity I like a lot.
The absolute Zine to read sat on the shitter…or maybe read it when your pants are full!
