Band members of LUST OF DECAY are what we can call hyperactive brutal death maniacs. How many side-projects do they own, it’s just amazing. Of course one can’t say that quantity means quality or that sometimes what’s the point having several bands sounding the same. So here are some names where at least one member plays or have played: DOMINATION THROUGH IMPURITY, LIVIDITY, CADAVERIC SHURIKEN ENTWINEMENT, DEBODIFIED, etc… I didn’t listen to all these projects but I can tell you these are brutal death metal bands for sure. I don’t think these guys are able to play anything else. They eat death metal, they shit death metal, they fuck death metal and they will die…death metal and possibly the most brutal ever!
Back to “Purity…” well this is the third carnage of LOD always in the brutal death metal way, with triggered drums to the bones, fast and technical riffs, heavier parts to trample the weak and the typical gory guttural voice of Jay Barnes (this guy has the funniest death metal haircut!).
If you’re not familiar with LOD, this release is their best and the one recommended if you want to discover them; quite catchy and relatively short thus you can listen to it and remain alive. If you’re a bit choosier or into more moody stuff I think that you are wasting your time reading this.
