NECROCCULTUS Encircling the mysterious necrorevelation Review

NECROCCULTUS (Mex) – Encircling the mysterious necrorevelation
Tape 2007 – Terror from Hell Records
8 tracks – 33’32
Rated: 8/10

Here is the pro-tape version of the CD originally released through Sempiternal Productions. It is rumoured that NECROCCULTUS is no more and that some members created a new band. But let’s go back to this dark opus of ancient occult death metal as written in the booklet.
NECROCCULTUS is keeping the tradition of utterly obscure death metal the old way and probably highly influenced by INCANTATION “Onward to Golgotha”. The same way of playing dark and creeping death metal with deep and raw vocals, primitive but barbaric riffs, haunting melodies, sick solos fuelled by alcohol… No melodies, no slamming parts and no fucking lyrics about skateboard or other stupid topics. Here you have complete death worship.
The Mexican death horde always keeps a particular heaviness, be it on slow pounding parts or while getting faster. If you enjoy the sinister moods you can listen on albums of INCRUST, DOMINUS XUL or SANCTIFIER, no doubt that NECROCCULTUS is essential to your collection.
