Second demo for OFFENDING and despite the line-up changes you still can face an onslaught of brutal death metal as it shall sounds decently. The first track “Without anything” hits you like a punch in the face, probably the most efficient track that shows OFFENDING’s musicianship and song writing abilities.
The new singer is far more brutal and aggressive vomiting guttural vocals coupled with screamed ones; his register reminds a lot Glen Benton. The only mistake came from the third track “Mental corrosion” where he uses a kind of medium screams which sounds really too soft and don’t fit to the music, but that’s my point of view.
Hard to find a band close to OFFENDING as the guys have various and numerous influences but maybe US bands like VILE or MORTAL DECAY are the closest in my opinion.
Anyway, this 2nd demo crushes the previous one without any effort and proves OFFENDING to be a band in which you can count in the future, playing brutal death metal in its purest tradition without modern attempts or hardcorish infection. Horns up!
