The good old principle of split release where PULMONARY FIBROSIS is one of the most die-hard disciple with their uncountable participations, starts with various tracks that may come from a rehearsal session or a live gig. The sound is not bad and one can distinguish clearly the drums, the guitar (down-tuned to death!) and the vomit breath. And that’s all! Here we have a short flood of goregrind between early CARCASS and LAST DAYS OF HUMANITY, their most fast and brutal tracks and 2 covers (MORTICIAN and JUNGLE ROT).
Their mates from CAKEWET play similar stuff, maybe having a more powerful sound and more variation in their music, although vocals are more standard. They mix Grindcore/Goregrind and sometimes brutal death. The result is pretty good although a bit monotonous on a longer basis but worth to be checked by grind freaks.
Then comes EXHUMED….sorry I mean VOMITROCITY who, as you may have guessed, dig the ground of death/grind à la EXHUMED with dual vocals (screams & growls), especially their early filthy sounding stuff. VOMITROCITY include some thrashy parts as well and too rare guitar solos. Well that’s well played but too close to their influence. Indeed a clone but if you are disappointed by the latest EXHUMED works, you can try VOMITROCITY.
FLESH DISGORGED from Singapore follows the paths of US brutal death/grind and the problem is that US are still overcrowded by such bands and I don’t see the point to play such ultra common shit except to please brutal death junkies. Maybe they are the only band playing this style in their area although I have some doubts about it. Pretty common and I bet you won’t remember anything about FLESH DISGORGED except their samples and the short medley of the Pulp Fiction movie.
I could almost write the same comments about COPREMESIS and their brutal death grind although their tracks are extremely brutal and hysterical. That certainly saves them from the complete lameness. COPREMESIS add guitar solos and even if it sometimes sounds cool they are not always tight. Sure it’s only rock n’ roll after all.
A cool brutal split tape but I am not sure that Human Circus is still active so get in touch with the bands if interested.
